Princess Luna/ Nightmare Moon 1

my cosplay for Sunday of the MCM London Comicon- Princess Luna/ Nightmare moon
My first attempt at My Little Pony Cosplay (this was a year of many cosplay firsts!)
the costume is based off a human-style doodle I scribbled a while back and fell in love with

the crown is made from craft foam and beads (because I was running out of money at this stage and sunk most of it into my Lady Rainicorn cosplay )
no wig, that's my own locks
earrings came from good old Pennys/ Primark
the sash was made from satin and the cutie mark was sewn on in felt (the pearls came courtesy of Pennys 50c discount bin)

alot of people asked me about the crown, veil and wings;

the wings were made of felt material and mounted onto a lightweight wire frame which attached to my bra and was hidden under my corset (hence why nobody could see it and they seemed to "sprout" from my shoulderblades. I'll make a tutorial if anyone is interested)

the veil was a 3m long piece of dusty blue/grey voil with little silver stars hot glued all over it (the cheap type you get in a packet of confetti at the party store for €1) it was then pinned to the crown

the horn was made of sparkly navy fimo polymer clay, hot glued to a 2x2 inch piece of black industrial plastic and I used about 10 kirby grips to hold it into my hair
